Membership of the Menai Swim Club is open to any swimmer that wants to try competitive swimming, be that at a Club only level or swimming against other clubs and trying to achieve success at Area, State, National or International level of competition.

Membership – Current Season

Membership fees are determined by the Menai Swim Club Board of Directors, and apply for the swimming season – 1st October to 30th September – and are not currently offered on a pro-rata basis.  For members that join under the either the Swimmer 9 & Over or Swimmer 8 & Under categories, included in your initial membership fee is a Menai Swim Club, Team Swim Cap and T-Shirt, and these will be provided to you once your membership has been approved by the Club Registrar.

For swimmers that are under the age of 18, a Parent is required to also join the club.

From the 2019-20 season, there is no longer Free Membership available for swimmers aged 7 & Under. This is NOT a decision of Menai Swim Club, but is a result of Swimming Australia losing the sponsorship of Optus, which provided the funding for these young swimmers.

The affiliation fees for Swimming Metro South East, Swimming NSW and Swimming Australia are included in your membership fee paid to Menai Swim Club.

Membership Renewals

In early September each year, the Menai Swim Club Registrar will contact you to advise that it is time to renew your membership of the club, in the form of an email from Swimming Australia.  If there are changes that you wish to make to your membership then please contact the Club Registrar – registrarmenaiswim@gmail.com. Do not pay for your membership until the changes have been made and confirmed to you by the Registrar.

A strict “NO REFUNDS” policy applies to all swimming associations and clubs.

To ensure the continuity of your membership and to access online meet entries, it is imperative that you renew your membership once you have been advised, prior to 30th September.

Membership Transfers

If you are an active member of another Swim Club and would like to transfer over to Menai Swim Club, please contact our Head Coach – coachmenaiswim@gmail.com  to discuss this.

Active Kids Voucher

Like most sporting organisations, Menai Swim Club is a registered provider under the NSW Government Active Kids program and will accept the Active Kids voucher as payment for membership fees.  If you wish to use your Active Kids voucher, please email the voucher to the  Club Registrar – registrarmenaiswim@gmail.com. DO NOT complete the payment section of the registration.

“Try Before You Buy“

If you are not sure if you want to be a competitive swimmer, the Menai Swim Club will allow you to come and try out a maximum of two (2) of our Friday Night Race Nights.  You can have a look at the program that is on offer for the night you want to try, by going to Swim Meets/Club Night Races tab on the menu.  if you would like to come and try out then please send your child’s name, date of birth and the races they wish to enter to our Head Coach – coachmenaiswim@gmail.com – and they will be in touch to confirm the entries.
